Refund Policy

This policy covers paid Featured listings on LawDB.ca. Basic listings are free, so there is nothing to refund. Featured plans are billed monthly through Stripe: $89 per month, plus applicable taxes.

The free month

Your first 30 days of Featured are free, and we do not ask for a card. You are not charged for the free month, so there is nothing to refund. It ends by itself after 30 days and your listing returns to a free Basic listing unless you choose to subscribe. If you subscribe, the 7-day guarantee below applies to your first payment.

7-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Featured listing, email us within 7 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment in full. This applies to your first payment only.

Cancel any time

You can cancel at any time by emailing info@lawdb.ca with your firm name. Your Featured listing stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will not be billed again after that. Your listing then returns to a free Basic listing.

No partial-month refunds

After the first 7 days, we do not refund or prorate the current billing period, or past periods, including when you cancel part-way through a month or do not use the listing.

When we will refund you

• You were charged in error, or charged more than once for the same period;
• You cancelled in time but were billed anyway;
• We were unable to put your Featured listing live within a reasonable time after payment.

No guarantee of results

A Featured listing improves your visibility in the directory. We do not guarantee any number of views, enquiries or clients, so a lack of enquiries is not grounds for a refund after the 7-day window.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
