To keep Featured, press Upgrade to Featured; your firm stays Featured as soon as payment is confirmed. LawDB is a new directory: Featured changes where and how your firm is shown on LawDB. It does not guarantee calls, clients or search-engine rankings. Basic stays free, and you can cancel Featured whenever you like.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Basic listing really free?
Yes. No credit card and no trial that turns into a charge. You get your own profile page, a pin on the map, placement by case type and city, and an enquiries inbox. You can keep a Basic listing for as long as you like.
Do I have to email anyone to get listed?
No. Everything happens in your account. Create a free account with Google or an email link, then search for your firm. If it is already listed, ask to manage it. If it is not, add it yourself. We review each request, and you get an email when it is approved.
How do you check that I am allowed to manage a firm?
We review every request by hand. For example, we compare your email address with the firm's website, and we may ask a follow-up question. This keeps listings trustworthy for the people searching.
How long until my profile is live?
Most requests are reviewed within a day. A new listing goes public when it is approved, and the map pin is placed automatically from your address (or the middle of your city if the address cannot be found).
What is the difference between Basic and Featured?
Basic gets you found: a profile you keep up to date (name, phone, address, website, hours and practice areas), every enquiry emailed to you, and your blog posts shown as cards. Featured gets you found first and makes the page yours, with your own description and tagline, your logo, cover and photos, and a Book a call button with your own booking link. Your firm is placed above Basic firms for your city and case type (with a large Featured Partner card at the top of the Find results), is first in the live search box, has a gold pin on the map and a gold tick and Featured badge, and comes first among nearby firms on other profiles. You also get an analytics dashboard (page views, visitors, every button clicked, where visitors came from, phone or computer, provinces and busiest days, with a spreadsheet export and a weekly email) and an enquiries dashboard with filters, notes, reply and export, with enquiries also sent to a second email address if you like. Your articles on LawDB News carry a Featured badge, get their own story pages that search engines can find, and rank higher in the home page news strip. Featured is $89 a month, and your first 30 days are free.
Is there a free trial of Featured?
Yes. Your first 30 days of Featured are free, and no credit card is needed. Once your listing is yours, open Analytics or Your plan in your dashboard and press Start my free month. Your firm is Featured straight away, with everything above, and goes back to Basic by itself when the month ends unless you subscribe. We email you five days before it ends with your own page views and clicks so far. Each firm gets one free month.
Is there a contract if I choose Featured?
No. Featured is a monthly subscription, after a free first month. You can update your card or cancel yourself from your dashboard. We would rather earn your business every month than lock you in.
Can I update my listing later?
Yes, any time and at no cost. Sign in, open My firms, and edit your details, hours and practice areas. Featured firms can also change their description, booking link, logo, cover and photos. There is no need to email us.
What can other people do with my listing?
Signed-in members can follow your firm and rate it. Firms only see the number of followers, never who they are. Star ratings count at once; a written comment is shown only after we review it, and never with the member's name.
