LawDB is a Canadian law firm directory built around one question: what kind of case do you have? People search by case type and city, and land on the firms that actually handle that work.
We are a young directory and we would rather tell you exactly what a listing does and does not do than sell you a number we cannot back up.
Most people looking for a lawyer do not know a firm's name — they know they have a custody dispute, an ICBC claim, or a closing next month. Our search starts from the case type, then narrows by region, so you are matched on the work you actually do.
Every firm gets its own profile page with your practice areas, location, map, contact details, and a link to your own website. It is a page we maintain and keep indexed, not a row buried in a list.
We publish dedicated pages for each practice area in each province we cover, and firms tagged for that area appear on them. That is additional surface area pointing at your firm beyond your own profile.
Listings are built from public business data and verified by hand as we go — we only link out to a firm website once we have confirmed it belongs to that firm. If something on your listing is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Every firm in the directory can be listed at no cost. Featured is for firms that want priority placement in their city and case types.
LawDB launched recently. We are not going to quote you traffic figures, lead counts, or search rankings, because we do not have a meaningful track record to quote yet — and any directory that does quote you those numbers this early is guessing.
What we can tell you is what exists: 249 firms across British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec, 54 cities, and 10 practice areas, each with its own indexed page, a sitemap submitted to search engines, and original written content published on the site regularly.
A free listing costs you nothing and gives you a linked, indexed page. Featured is worth considering if you want priority placement in a competitive city while the directory is still small — which is exactly when placement is easiest to get.
